Quechua (, or ; (:ˈketʃwa)) is the name of a people of the central Andes of South America and their languages. Quechua may refer to: * Quechua people, several indigenous ethnic groups in South America, especially in Peru but also in Ecuador, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia and Argentina * Quechuan languages, a Native South American language family spoken primarily in the Andes, derived from a common ancestral language * *Southern Quechua, the most widely spoken Quechua language, with about 6.9 million speakers * * Quechua Boliviano, a dialect of Southern Quechua spoken in Bolivia and in northern Argentina Quechua is used by the ancestors of the Inca.
