Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah

''Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah'' is an Indian sitcom produced by Neela Tele Films Private Limited. The show went on-air on 28 July 2008 and airs Monday through Friday evenings on SAB TV. Then this show re-run on Sony Pal from 2 November 2015 at 8 pm everyday.The show is based on the column ''Duniya Ne Oondha Chashma'' written by columnist and journalist Taarak Mehta for the Gujarati weekly magazine ''Chitralekha''.
==Plot summary==

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah revolves around daily happenings in the Gokuldham Co-Operative Housing Society in Mumbai, a society well known for its culture, unity, the love and care for each other and the fun that happens there. People from different religions and cultures live here and apart from these barriers, they worship each God and celebrate each and every festival with equal charm, referring to their society as "Mini-India", spreading the message of unity.
The show mainly revolves around the families living in Gokuldham such as the Gadas - Jethalal Champaklal Gada, his wife Daya Jethalal Gada, their son Tipendra Jethalal Gada / Tapu and Jethalal's father Champaklal Jayantilal Gada, a Kutchi-Gujarati Jain family; the Mehtas - Taarak Mehta and his wife Anjali Taarak Mehta, a Gujarati-Hindu family; the Bhides - Aatmaram Tukaram Bhide, his wife Madhavi Aatmaram Bhide and their daughter Sonalika Aatmaram Bhide / Sonu, a Marathi family; the Iyers - Krishnan Subramaniam Iyer and his wife Babita Krishnan Iyer, a South Indian family with Tamil husband and Bengali wife; the Sodhis - Sardar Roshan Singh Harjeet Singh Sodhi, his wife Roshan Kaur Roshan Singh Sodhi and their son Gurucharan Singh Roshan Singh Sodhi / Gogi, a Punjabi family with a Sikh husband and Parsi wife and the Hathis - Dr. Hansraj Hathi, his wife Komal Hasraj Hathi and their son Gulabkumar Hansraj Hathi / Goli, a Bihari family.
There are solo recurring characters such as Patrakar Popatlal Bhagwati Prasad Pandey from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, Abdul, a Muslim, Sundarlal, who is Gujarati and who lives in Ahmedabad, the brother-in-law of Jethalal Gada; Natwarlal Prabhashankar Udhiawala a.k.a. Nattu Kaka, Jethalal's Shop Manager; Bageshwar Dadukh Udhaiwala / Bagha, Nattu kaka's nephew; Bawri, who is Bageshwar's love and other recurring characters such as Pinku Diwan, Matka King Mohanlal and reporter Rita Shrivastav. The stories shown in the episodes are associated with these characters who often deal with humorous, socially relevant issues. At the end of each episode, the host Taarak Mehta gives an outline of the story and a teaser for the upcoming episodes.
