Rakwal The Rakwal are a Rajput clan found mainly in the Indian states of Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. They claim to be Suryavanshi Rajput, descendants of Rama. Their immediate ancestor was Raja Abta Deo of Jammu, who founded a principality in Sialkot. They are a Dogra sub-group, and their customs are similar to other Dogras. The Rakwal intermarry with the Sulehria, Langeh, Andotra, Bhalwal, Baghal, Charak and Jaj.〔A Glossary of the Tribes and Castes of the Punjab and North West Frontier Province volume III page 89 by Horace Arhur Rose〕 == References ==
