Rasulnagar is a town and Union council of Gujranwala District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is located at 32°20'0N 73°47'0E with an altitude of 197 metres (649 feet)〔(Location of Rasulnagar - Falling Rain Genomics )〕 and is part of Wazirabad Tehsil.〔(Towns & Unions in the City District of Gujranwala - Government of Pakistan )〕 It used to be summer residence of Maharaja Ranjit Singh. ==History== Maharaja Ranjit Singh's summer residence is located in this city.〔http://www.sikhfoundation.org/people-events/the-maharajas-residence-by-salman-rashid/〕〔http://tribune.com.pk/story/517744/the-maharajas-residence/〕 The Battle of Ramnagar was fought in this city on 22 November 1848 between British and Sikh forces during the Second Anglo-Sikh War. The British were led by Sir Hugh Gough, while the Sikhs were led by Sher Singh Attariwalla.
