Reflektion
Reflektion is a predictive analytics platform provider founded by former Google engineer Amar Chokhawala in 2012. The service allows online retailers to use customer behavior to anticipate buying habits, and to quickly present customers with the most appropriate products, recommendations, and direct interactive messages. Chokhawala founded the company after an 11-year stint at Google, where he developed similar user modeling and semantic learning techniques for the Adsense, Gmail and Google Books platforms.
The company’s Xpedition platform also provides overview data for the performance of specific products, campaigns and customer segments. During a beta test of the company’s platform, surfboard retailer O’Neill reported a 26% increase in conversion rate, 85% increase in user engagement, and 17% increase in average order size. Other notable clients using the Reflektion system include Converse and Metal Mulisha.
Based in San Mateo, California, Reflektion has gone through several rounds of venture capital fundraising. The company has raised $11.3 million since 2012, with $8 million of that coming in as Series B funding through Intel Capital and Nike in March, 2014. Reflektion was named one of the “Top 100 Most Promising Big Data Companies”〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=Reflektion: Predictive Analytics to Power Brand Managing and Marketing )〕 by industry magazine ''CIO Review'' in 2014.
