Ricote is a Spanish municipality in the autonomous community of Murcia. It has a population of 1,509 (2004) and an area of 87.7 km² .〔(Ricote ) 〕 Ricote had a community of Moriscos (crypto-Muslims) until the 1609 Expulsion of the Moriscos from Spain.
