It contains only one species, ''Rifseria fuscotaeniaella'', which is found from Manitoba and British Columbia to eastern Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Arizona and coastal California.〔(funet.fi )〕〔(mothphotographersgroup )〕 The Wingspan 10.5-16 mm.
