Rockapedia was formed in St Kilda in 2002. Their first gig was at the St Kilda Sports Club / Bowling Club. The first line consisted of Ash "Flash" Dawson from Flash Ash and the Statics and more recently the covers duo of Richard Goes Hard. Jack Holt, formerly known as Jock Cheese from the band TISM Paul Coles, keyboards and drums was at the original gig and joined the line up permanently from 2004. The engine room, Dave "The kegster" Downing joined the line up at the same time in 2004. The show is hosted by John McLoughlin . He had "guest" spots on FM Radio Melbourne, 3TripleM in the late 1990s and early 2000s in breakfast radio. He maintains his best claim to musical fame is "living in the house of a legend", Gerry Humphrys, lead singer of The Loved Ones. He was employed at Richmond FC in the early 2000s as a Match Day MC for the club's corporate lunches at the MCG for ground announcements, marketing and corporate functions.
