The name comes from its main hall's hexagonal shape. This temple is part of the Saigoku Kannon Pilgrimage. ==History== Rokkaku-dō is believed to have been established in the early Heian period.〔Ponsonby-Fane, Richard Arthur Brabazon. (1956).
