The harbour of Agnefest has a history going back at least to 1771.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=History )〕 Because of the high salinity of the water the fjord rarely freezes, making it a suitable harbour. At the bottom of the fjord lies Rosfjord Beach, a popular sandy beach in the summer. There is both a campsite and a hotel. Commercial camping on the site goes back to 1934.
