Its purported boundaries are East 16th Street/Brookside Pkway on the North, Washington Street on the South, Rural Street on the West, and Sherman Avenue on the East. There is no neighborhood of that name, but within those boundaries there are actually 22 neighborhood associations recognized by NESCO, the umbrella organization for the near east side of Indianapolis. The area has been reported to be a high in crime, but is on par with most of the neighborhoods surrounding the downtown business portion of the city.
