Sampeyre is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about southwest of Turin and about northwest of Cuneo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,129 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Sampeyre contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Becetto, Calchesio, Colle di Sampeyre, Dragoniere, Gilba, Rore, Rouera, Sant'Anna, Durandi, Villar, and Villaretto.
