Sathupally is one of the major towns and Mandal headquarters in Khammam district in Telangana, India. It is so named because it is the combination of seven (saath) villages. It is also a constituency of the Telangana Legislative Assembly. The town is from Vijayawada, from Hyderabad and from Khammam and from Eluru& from Nuzvid. It consists of Singareni coal mines located in the borders and it also consists of vast forest area. The special police 16th battalion is situated at Gangaram village, near to Sathupally town. This is a major municipality and commercial centre in Khammam district. This is one of the fastest-growing towns in Khammam district as this town is reachable by more than 100 villages in the districts of Khammam, West Godavari and Krishna. Agriculture is the main economic activity in Sathupalli. Irrigation here mainly depends on monsoon and seasonal rainfalls. Major crops are paddy, corn, mango. This place is famous for eucalyptus clones which are abundant here. Coca-Cola company has a manufacturing unit for production of Kinley mineral water in the town. Thammileru starts at Sathupalli. There are several number of Temples constructed recently. And, historical Temple named NEELADRI was known constructed during Kakatiya dynasty. Another famous Temple is Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Annapureddy Palli which is approximately 20 Kilometres from the Town. Historically 700-year-old temple was built during the reign of Kakatiyas, it represents the epitome of south Indian culture and heritage with excellent sculptures inscribed on the walls and pillars.
