The type species, ''S. longipes'' is found in early Cretaceous strata of Baissa, Siberia. The second species, ''S. exquisitus'', is from the 〔Gao, Taiping, et al. "New Transitional Fleas from China Highlighting Diversity of Early Cretaceous Ectoparasitic Insects."
