ScoreBig's service allows its users to bid on sporting, concert, theatre, and other live entertainment tickets with expectations of saving 10-60%. ScoreBig doesn't identify the source of the tickets it offers, enabling venue to discount seats without "cannibalizing their own box offices or angering season ticket holders who paid full price."〔 This enables it to provide deeper discounts than most other ticket sellers, because teams, venues and promoters are more comfortable giving low prices when they aren't advertised broadly.
Buyers choose sections rather than specific seats, with sections rated by a star systems (six stars for front row; one star for the rafters).〔 When browsing or searching the website, visitors see the average discount they can expect to receive. After selection, customer bids are either accepted or rejected right away. If accepted, the tickets are purchased immediately, without service fees or delivery charges.〔 If the bid is rejected, the customer is barred from bidding again on that event for 24 hours, but also is shown alternative "buy it now" offers.
