Sealab 2020
''Sealab 2020'' is a 30-minute Saturday morning animated series produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions and broadcast on NBC from September 9, 1972 to December 2, 1972. A total of 13 episodes were aired, with three episodes remaining unaired. As with most Hanna-Barbera series, the show was in occasional rotation on Boomerang, the TV channel that owns the Hanna-Barbera archives. From 2001 to 2005, the series had a second life when it was parodied as ''Sealab 2021'' on Cartoon Network.
==Opening narration==
The opening title narration for each episode consists of the following:
''This is the year 2020. The place is the Challenger Sea Mount – the top of an underwater mountain, a complex beneath the sea. Two hundred and fifty men, women and children live here, each of them a scientist pioneer. For this is our last frontier – a hostile environment which may hold the key to tomorrow. Each day, these oceanauts meet new challenges as they build their city beneath the sea ... This is Sealab 2020''.
