Sedegliano (Friulian ''Sedean'') is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about northwest of Trieste and about southwest of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,796 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Sedegliano contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Coderno, Gradisca, Grions, Rivis, San Lorenzo, and Turrida. Sedegliano borders the following municipalities: Codroipo, Coseano, Flaibano, Mereto di Tomba, San Giorgio della Richinvelda, San Martino al Tagliamento, Valvasone. It is known for nurturing the talent of Massimo Donati who plays for Celtic F.C. in Scotland.
