Segesa
SEGESA (stands for ''Sociedad de Electricidad de Guinea Ecuatorial'') is the national electricity company based in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. It has a monopoly to operate the electricity sector of Equatorial Guinea. The company was created in November 2001 by merger of the national rural electrification company SONER and the national electricity corporation ENERGE.〔 〕 70% of the company is owned publicly while 30% is owned by private investors. There are plans for full privatization of the company.〔 In 2013 the company was reorganized into three units named SEGESA Comercial, SEGESA Generacion and SEGESA Transmission.〔 〕 ==References==
