Serbelodon
''Serbelodon'' is an extinct genus of African and European Proboscidean. It was a gomphothere "shovel-tusker". It had tusks and a trunk. It lived during the Miocene Epoch, and may have evolved from ''Amebelodon''. ''Serbelodon burnhami'' was named after Frederick Russell Burnham the brother-in-law of the fossil's discoverer John C. Blick. == References ==
