''Sersalisia'' is a genus of trees in Sapotaceae described as a genus in 1810.〔(Brown, Robert. 1810. Prodromus florae Novae Hollandiae et Insulae Van-Diemen, exhibens characteres plantarum 529-530 ) in Latin〕〔(Tropicos, ''Sersalisia'' R. Br )〕 In the past, ''Sersalisia'' was much larger and more widely distributed than at present. Most of the former members of the genus have been transferred to other genera. Only two species remain, both endemic to Australia.〔(Kew World Checklist of Selected Plant Families )〕〔Swenson, U., Bartish, I.V. & Munzinger, J. (2007).
