Shaqsha (Ancash Quechua for jingle bell / a typical dancer of the Ancash Region,〔Leonel Alexander Menacho López, Yachakuqkunapa Shimi Qullqa, Anqash Qhichwa Shimichaw (Ministerio de Educación), Wordbook Ancash Quechua-Spanish〕 hispanicized ''Shacsha'') or Wanchan (hispanicized ''Huanchan'') is a mountain in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru,〔(www.andix.com ) Map of a part of the Cordillera Blanca〕 about high. It is situated in the Ancash Region, Huaraz Province, Olleros District. Shaqsha lies southwest of Wantsan, west of Urwashrahu and southeast of the town of Huaraz (Waras). There are two little lakes west of Shaqsha.
