Shinnersia

''Shinnersia'' is an aquatic plant native to Texas and Mexico. It belongs to the boneset tribe within the sunflower family.〔(King, Robert Merrill & Robinson, Harold Ernest. 1970. Phytologia 19(5): 297–298 )〕〔(Tropicos, ''Shinnersia'' R.M. King & H. Rob. )〕
The genus is named in honor of Lloyd H. Sinners of Southern Methodist University.〔
