It is located close to Secunderabad Railway Station and is surrounded by Osmania University in the east, Warasiguda in the south, Secunderabad in the west and Tarnaka in the north. Sitaphalmandi is located about 1.5 km from Secunderabad. The suburb's name comes from the words ''sitaphal'' and ''mandi'' meaning market of custard apples. Previously, farmers foremost arrived here on bullock carts with custard apples and other fruits and sell their produce, a routine which continues even today. ==Commercial area== Some banks and ATMs operating in this area are, ICICI Bank, SBI, SBH and Andhra Bank, Central Bank of India. Movie theatres such as Suresh and Sridevi are present here. Alternatively, there are many other shops which cater to all needs of the locals.
