Socchieve () is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about northwest of Trieste and about northwest of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,009 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Socchieve contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Caprizi, Dilignìdis, Feltrone, Lungis, Mediis, Nonta, Priuso, and Viaso.
