Somano is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Cuneo in the Italian region Piedmont, located about southeast of Turin and about northeast of Cuneo. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 399 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Somano contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Fossati, Altavilla, Sant'Antonio, Manzoni, Albere, Garombo, Curine, Ruatalunga, and Costalunga.
