Sonagazi Upazila
Sonagazi ((ベンガル語:সোনাগাজী)) is an Upazila (sub-district) of Feni District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh.
==Geography==
Sonagazi is located at . It has 37,184 households and a total area of 235.07 km².
It is situated in the southern part of the district, the only Upazila to have a coastline with the Bay of Bengal. Sonagazi is noted for its natural beauty, a sluice gate, known as "Muhuri Project", built in the late 1970s to control water flow of the Feni river is a popular tourist destination as well.
Noted literary figure Shahidullah Kaisar and film maker Zahir Raihan; Dr. Abul Kashem (Gold medalist by all India Homeopathic Society) and Lt. Gen. Masud Uddin Chowdhury, ndc, psc, a military leader and a distinguished diplomat hailed from Sonagazi. Mosharraf Hossain (Advocate), a renowned lawyer was also born in Sonagazi. In the 5th Parliamentary Election, Mr. Mahbubul Alam Tara got elected from the Feni-3 constituency.
