Sospiro is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Cremona in the Italian region Lombardy, located about southeast of Milan and about southeast of Cremona. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 3,177 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 The municipality of Sospiro contains the ''frazioni'' (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Longardore, S.Salvatore, and Tidolo.
