The ''Standard-Examiner'' is a daily morning newspaper published in Ogden, Utah. With 41,577 subscribers on Sunday and 35,035 daily, it is the third largest daily newspaper in terms of circulation in the State of Utah after the ''Salt Lake Tribune'' and The ''Deseret Morning News''.〔http://www.standard.net/The-News-Starts-Here/2014/07/03/Standard-Examiner-Through-the-Years.html〕 It was acquired by Sandusky Newspapers, Inc. of Sandusky, Ohio, on March 23, 1993. ==History== Ogden's first newspaper began publication in 1869, but the lineage of the current ''Standard-Examiner'' dates from January 1, 1888, when the first issue of the ''Ogden Standard'' was distributed. The ''Ogden Examiner'' was established in 1904, and the two papers were merged on April 1, 1920, creating the current nameplate. William Glasmann had become business manager of the paper, after moving to Ogden upon the failure of plans to build a new town on the south shore of the Great Salt Lake. He bought the paper in 1894. His descendants (Glasmann/Hatch) still owned and edited the ''Standard-Examiner'' until 1993. The ''Standard-Examiner'' maintained offices in the Kiesel Building in downtown Ogden until 1961, when it relocated to 455 23rd Street, a building originally constructed to serve as Ogden's National Guard armory. In 2000, the paper's offices and printing plant moved to a new production printing plant and a remodeled office building at Business Depot Ogden, the former Defense Depot Ogden. In 2013 the paper introduced a new revenue stream aside from print or online sales. Instead this focuses on helping local and national businesses get recognized. It offered a B2B and other marketing solutions for advertising across all platforms. The "''Standard-Examiner'' created a digital team division that now brings in a new revenue stream option by offering local banner display advertising, retarget marketing, SEM (search engine marketing or pay-per-click advertising), Google Display Network and social media marketing for business-to-business and business-to-consumer clients. So far it has generated nearly a 7-percent increase compared to last year."〔http://www.standard.net/Business/2014/05/15/SE-offers-B2B-solutions-and-advertising-across-all-platforms.html〕 Historically an evening newspaper, the ''Standard-Examiner'' switched to morning publication in 2000. In late spring of 2014, a companion site called The News Starts Here was created to help the public get to know the staff and reporters better. It includes bios and videos about each local reporter.〔http://www.thenewsstartshere.net/〕 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Standard-Examiner」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
