==History==

MastersPortal.eu started in 2007 as a spin-off from the international student organisation ESTIEM. Their members identified a massive information gap for finding international Master’s in Europe that increasingly emerged through the Bologna Process. In 2009 StudyPortals BV was founded in the course of further professionalization.〔 In the same year it won the Dutch New Venture award and managed to acquire venture capital.〔("Studentensite verdubbelt webbezoek dankzij prijs" ), November 16, 2009〕〔("VOC Capital neemt belang in Studyportals" ), February 14, 2010〕 The website continuously increased its popularity and became European market leader for English-taught Masters's programmes in 2009.〔("TU/e studenten veroveren Europese studiekeuzemarkt" ), Nuffic transfer issue 8 2009〕 By September 2015 the company employed more than 100 people with the centre of operations in Eindhoven.〔
