Suchań
Suchań ((ドイツ語:Zachan)) is a town in Stargard County, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland. Its recorded population is 1,443 (2004). Suchań is positioned on the Krebs Brook, a tributary of the Ina which in turn feeds into the River Oder. The Main road (DK 10) connecting Stettin and Bydgoszcz passes through the town. Stargard Szczeciński is the next substantial town, located along this road (13 miles) to the west. Before 1945 the area was part of Germany. After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement. The native German populace was expelled and replaced with Poles. For the history of the region, see History of Pomerania. ==External links==
