Sugauli
Sugauli is a city and a notified area in East Champaran district in the Indian state of Bihar. It is the setting for Rudyard Kipling's story "Rikki-Tikki-Tavi" and the place where a treaty was signed with Nepal in 1815. ==Demographics== India census, Sugauli town had a population of 31,362. Males constitute 54% of the population and females 46%. Sugauli has an average literacy rate of 42%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 51%, and female literacy is 32%. In Sugauli, 20% of the population is under 6 years of age. Sugauli is the part of SATYAGRAHA movement what GANDHI JI started from the Champaran, and that movement inspired a lot of youth at that time to contribute for this nation and one of them were LATE JANARDAN PANDEY from Sugauli.
