Sundaranachiyapuram (Tamil: சுந்தரநாச்சியாபுரம்)is a village located nearby Rajapalayam, in Virudhunagar district, Tamil Nadu, India. It is a small village, with around 750 families. ==History== Sundaranachiyapuram was a Hindu village till 1888. Sundaranachiyapuram is named for the name of Hindu god sundaranachiamman. Sundaranachiamman temple is 2 km away from sundaranachiyapuram.It was also under the control of Seithur Zamindhar who was oppressing the people of Sundaranachiyapuram and filed a case against them. At this time, there came Fr. Trincal S.J. as a liberator for these people from the clutches of Zamindhar. Some heads of the village sought the help of Fr. Trincal who was doing his missionary work stationed at W. Pudupatti. They all agreed to embrace Christianity provided that they were freed from the Zamindhar. In 1888, 12 July he saved the unlettered victims and won the case. As a result, the whole village became Christian.
