Superhuman qualities are qualities that exceed those found in humans. Superhuman abilities are found in some fictional characters, especially as superheroes in American comic books. Fictional characters have been portrayed as having psychic abilities, flying abilities, impossible strength, or exceptional proficiency beyond human capability. ''Superhuman'' can also mean something that is not human, but considered to be "superior" to humans in some way, e.g. a tiger may be described as having "superhuman strength". Superhuman abilities may result from human enhancement by genetic modification, cybernetic implants, nanotechnology, or from human evolution in the distant future. ==Human enhancement and advancement== Human enhancement is any attempt to temporarily or permanently overcome the current limitations of the human body through natural or artificial means. Human enhancement may be through the use of technological means to select or alter human characteristics and capacities, whether or not the alteration results in characteristics and capacities that lie beyond the existing human range. Some bioethicists restrict the term to the non-therapeutic application of specific technologies — neuro-, cyber-, gene-, and nano-technologies — to human biology.〔Moore, P., "Enhancing Me: The Hope and the Hype of Human Enhancement", John Wiley, 2008〕 According to transhumanist thinkers, a posthuman is a hypothetical future being "''whose basic capacities so radically exceed those of present humans as to be no longer unambiguously human by our current standards.''" 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Superhuman」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
