Surianne

Surianne Dalmedo, known as Surianne, is a Gibraltarian international singer and songwriter of acoustic Latin/Rock/Flamenco music. Described as "''la niña del sur''" ((スペイン語:girl of the South)) her music style is derived from a blend of various cultures; Gibraltarian, Spanish, British and North African, inspired by Mediterranean grooves, strongly influenced by the fusion of acoustic guitar sounds and driving percussive rhythms.
==Career==

Following the hugely successful launch of her charity single ‘Stronger Than Before’ that entered the iTunes UK Top 100 Latino songs at #56 25 January 2011, she continues her work as an Ambassador for London-based charity (Hestia Housing & Support ), voluntarily organising music workshops and events, raising as much funds and awareness for Hestia’s Domestic Violence services, in specific for children and family projects.
Previously nominated for a Birmingham music award for best unplugged / unsigned act in the Midlands, Surianne is going from strength to strength, attracting a loyal fan base with her feisty rhythmical Latino sound and her eclectic band of musicians. Her music has taken her to perform at prestigious events such as for The Princes Trust, London International Music Show, The Beverley Folk Festival, Trade Union Congress and at The Bolivar Hall in celebration of International Women's Day and most recently in Hyde Park for ‘A Future That Works’, Oct 2012. Following the success of last years performance she is invited to perform in March at the TUC for International Women's Day 2013. In April 2013, Surianne is nominated by Hackney MP Diane Abbott as artist favourite for parliamentary music competition Rock The House 2013 - a competition founded by Mike Weatherley that celebrates the very best of up-and-coming unsigned British artists and the live music venues that support them.
Surianne has performed alongside artists such as Nate James, John Adeleye, David Jordan, Suzanne Vega, Steve Balsamo, Anthony Joseph & The Spasm Band, Breed77, Spencer Kennedy, Natalie McCool amongst others. She works alongside guitarist David Saavedra preparing new material for her album and collaborating with artists such as emerging British Hip Hop talent Gak Jonze on song ‘Hay Que Vivir’.
