Kodžadžik
Kodžadžik ((マケドニア語:Коџаџик), (トルコ語:Kocacık)) is a village in the Republic of Macedonia. It is located in the western part of the country in the Centar Župa Municipality. According to historians, the village was mentioned for the first time in 1385 and the name of the village means "Great Battle".〔(Makfax )〕 It was known Svetigrad or Sfetigrad before the Ottoman conquest in 1448. Kodžadžik is known for the fact that the house of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's parents is located in the village. A Memorial House of Kemal Atatürk is currently being constructed in Kodžadžik.〔(MIA )〕 Kodžadžik was the scene of the Siege of Svetigrad during 1448, in which Ottoman forces captured it from forces of the League of Lezhë after sieging it for three months.〔Some sources refer to the siege occurring in 1449. Most original documents, however, only refer to it happening in 1448. See: Schmitt p. 93.〕 According to the 2002 census all 275 inhabitants of Kodžadžik declared as Turks.〔(【引用サイトリンク】url=http://www.stat.gov.mk/publikacii/knigaX.pdf )〕 ==References==
