Synoptic
Synoptic is derived from the Greek words σύν (''syn'', "together") and ὄψις (''opsis'', "view"), and describes observations that give a broad view of a subject at a particular time. Specific uses include: *Synoptic scale meteorology *Synoptic Gospels *Synoptic problem *Synoptic philosophy *Large Synoptic Survey Telescope *SynOptics *SYNOP (surface synoptic observations), a numerical code used for reporting weather observations *Synoptic concerns the surveillance of the few by the many.
