Tabarjal
Tabarjal (Arabic:طبرجل) is an important town in the north of Saudi Arabia.The nearest big city is Al Gurayat or Qurayyat. Tabarjal is one of the major modern towns in the region of Al-Jawf, where it has for over forty years attempted to solve the problem of the suffering in the desert by organizing the settlement project, digging wells. State distribution of agricultural land extends to the west at the Jordanian border and to the east to Sakakah. Tabarjal is one of the most fertile sites in the region. == Etyomogy == Tabarjal's name comes from a gifted Arabic man named Jaloud who died in the surrounding area between 650 and 750 A.D. The area became known as the death place of this good man. He was a traveling merchant between the cities of Jerusalem, Damascus, Baghdad and Mecca. He was well known between the cities of Al Sham and Baghdad. The circumstances of his death were never fully known, however most believe he was murdered by local thieves. No one knows exactly in which city he was born, but it is thought he was born in one of the cities where he conducted business.
