Tangier-Tetouan (Berber: ''Tanja-Tiṭṭawin'', ⵜⴰⵏⵊⴰ-ⵜⵉⵟⵟⴰⵡⵉⵏ; (アラビア語:طنجة تطوان)) is the northernmost of the old sixteen regions of Morocco. It covers an area of 11,570 km²〔(Tangier-Tetouan ), Morocco.com, accessed 7 February 2013〕 and has a population of 3,157,075.〔(2014 census)〕 The capital is Tangier. ==Geography== The region has a coastline to the west on the Atlantic Ocean, on the north to the Strait of Gibraltar and to the east on the Mediterranean Sea.
