Tentenaten (or Tenta'aten) which means ''"She of the Aten"'' was the daughter of Akhenaten and his secondary wife Kiya according Terrell L. Frazier in his 2014 novel ''My Life Before: Memoir of a Lost Royal''. Tentenaten is also the grandchild of King Tushratta of Mitanni which made her of great importance to both kingdoms. She is initially the fourth Amarna Princess thus the actual first princess to have been born in her father's city Akhetaten modern day Amarna. Tentenaten was born either Year 5 or 6 of her father's reign. According to the author, she strongly resembled her mother. In his novel, Terrell explains that Tentenaten was very quite person, at least to his former self. like her older sisters Meritaten and Ankhesenpaaten she was a very important figure around the court of the 19th dynasty royals. However, she remained unseen throughout most of time. her actual task in the court was uncertain but it must have been just as important as her sisters. It is given that she was still very upset about the fact that her mother left her in Egypt over her brother over a decade before their reunion. It is an issue that has never been solved between the two siblings. Tentenaten also adorned a light-blue fiance object that was given to her by her father. Earlier on after the fall of Amarna, Tentenaten along with sisters Meritaten and Setepenre were banished from the kingdom shortly after Meritaten attempted to stir power from Tutankhamun, more so the High priests of Amun. She did this to preserve her families namesake thus paid a terrible price for it. Her sister Ankhesenpaaten and Tutankhamun turned her back upon her and had them banished from kingdom. Ankhesenpaaten went on to Tut's co-regent Neferneferuaten while her sisters left from Abydos where they lived out for the most of their lives. But it was not long after the Ankhesenpaaten met her own end and rejoined her sisters in Abydos. Despite what Ankhesenpaaten did to her sisters they were able to forgive her and live out their lives.
