Thalpunoor is a small village, located 12 km south west of Nagarkurnool, Gopalpet Mandal and Mahbubnagar district, India, situated in between 16.406 degrees northern longitude and 78.242° eastern latitude. == Demography == Thalpunoor is a completely agricultural-dependent village. The main crops are corn, jowar, rice, cotton and castor. More than half of the population is categorized as completely backward people. The majority of people follow Hinduism, few people follow Islam, but the village people are very secular. Many Hindu devotees go to nearby dargha every year. The main source of drinking water is bore wells, main source of irrigation are Nallachervu (a small lake), Ramasamudram, chittanachruvu and bore wells, these days farmers are hoping to get water from the canals from Kalwakurthy irrigation project.
