Thamusida
Thamusida is an ancient Roman river port and city in Mauretania Tingitana (now northern Morocco), near Kénitra and Mehdia. ==Characteristics==
The site was excavated from 1913 by the French, then 1959 to 1962〔''Fasti archaeologici'', Volume 17,Sansoni Editore., 1962〕 and since 1998. Many items found in Thamusida are today on display at the Rabat Archaeological Museum. It occupies an area of fifteen acres. Excavations have unearthed the walls of the docks and baths. Under the Antonines, a temple was built to worship Venus.
