Tharuvana is a small town in Vellamunda Panchayath of Wayanad district, Kerala, India. The place is a junction en route to Mananthavady. The word "tharuvana" is derived from malayalam words "tharu" ( means please give ) and "ana" ( means cash ). The combined word "Tharuvana" means Please give Cash.
