Tokyngton, also known as Monks Park, is an area near Wembley in the London Borough of Brent, in northwest London, England. Tokyngton was first mentioned in 1171, its name meaning "the farm of the sons of Toca". ==Location== Tokyngton is situated roughly east of Wembley. The main road through the area is the A404 Harrow Road, which runs from southeast to northwest; the A406 North Circular Road passes to the southeast, separated from the area by the River Brent. To the south and southwest of Tokyngton are the London Underground Bakerloo line, the London Overground Watford DC Line and the West Coast Main Line, as well as the Bakerloo line's Stonebridge Park depot. To the north are the Chiltern Main Line and Wembley Stadium, and to the east is Tokyngton Recreation Ground, through which the River Brent flows. The area mostly consists of Edwardian terraces and 1930s semi-detached housing. There are three schools in the area: Oakington Manor Primary School in the northeast, and Elsley Primary School and St Joseph's Catholic Junior School in the west. There is also a community centre within Sherrans Farm Open Space in the north of the area, close to Wembley Stadium. Tokyngton Library, in the southeast, closed in 2011. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Tokyngton」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
