Torngat
Torngat is a Montreal indie band and instrumental trio established in 2001. ==Biography== Torngat's popularity increased with the 2005 release of their EP ''La Rouge''. During the spring of 2006 and after increasing demand, Torngat toured Eastern Canada. Torngat signed a two-album deal with Montreal experimental label Alien8 Recordings. The band recorded a full-length album ''You Could Be'', which was released on September 19, 2007.〔Rajagopalan, Pras.("Torngat Make It Up" ), ''Exclaim!'', October 2007.〕 Amato formerly was horn player of Arcade Fire and currently a member for The Luyas and Bell Orchestre. The band named themselves for the Torngat Mountains because the mountains' untamed nature matched the band's open and improvisational style.
