Torreano ((スロベニア語:Tavorjana)) is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about northwest of Trieste and about northeast of Udine, on the border with Slovenia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,301 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 According to the census 1971 24,5% of the population are Slovenes.
