Transiturus
''Transiturus de hoc mundo''〔''Transiturus de hoc mundo ad patrem saluator dominus noster Iesus Christus'' "As he was about to pass on from this world to the father, our lord saviour Jesus Christ", referring to the Last Supper.〕 is the incipit of the papal bull issued on 11 August 1264 by Pope Urban IV in which the feast of Corpus Christi (''festum corporis'') was declared throughout the entire Latin Rite.〔''The Feast of Corpus Christi'' by Barbara R. Thomas Aquinas contributed substantially to the bull, mostly in parts concerned with the liturgical text the new feast.
Aquinas composed the sequence ''Tantum ergo sacramentum'' for this purpose.
