Trecastagni () is a ''comune'' (municipality) in the Province of Catania in the Italian region Sicily, located about southeast of Palermo and about north of Catania. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 8,936 and an area of .〔All demographics and other statistics: Italian statistical institute Istat.〕 Trecastagni borders the following municipalities: Pedara, San Giovanni la Punta, Viagrande, Zafferana Etnea. Its patron is Saint Nicholas and compatron are SS. MM.
