Triosphere

Triosphere is a Norwegian power metal band from Trondheim, Norway.
The band was formed as a trio by singer and bassist Ida Haukland, guitarist Marius Silver Bergesen, and drummer Ørjan Aare Jørgensen in 2004. After the release of their first EP ''Deadly Decadence'' the following year, they released in 2006 their debut album ''Onwards''. Shortly after the release the band was expanded from a trio to a quartet when live guitarist Tor Ole Byberg joined as full-time member. They subsequently toured with various bands including W.A.S.P., Kamelot and Arch Enemy. In 2010 their second album, ''The Road Less Travelled'', was released.
Following their 2011 tour with Sonata Arctica and their 2012 tour with Kamelot, they announced they were working on a new album. On November 2013 the band announced the departure of Jørgensen, who eventually left in March 2014 after his parts for the new album were already recorded. Their third album, ''The Heart of the Matter'', was released in November 7, 2014.
Bergesen is the composer of all the instrumental parts of the band, with Ida Haukland acting as lyricist, and composer of the vocal parts.
==History==

Triosphere formed in 2004, and released their first EP, ''Deadly Decadence'', in 2005. 2006 saw the Norwegian release of their debut album ''Onwards'', which was subsequently released in Asia, the United States and the rest of Europe. Created as a trio, the band's line-up expanded in 2006 to incorporate second guitarist Byberg, only recognized as a live member before.
In 2006 and 2007, Triosphere hade done two Norwegian tours with W.A.S.P., as well as three European tours from 2007 to 2009 alongside several famous artists or bands: W.A.S.P. once again, but also Kotipelto, Chris Caffery, Kamelot, Jorn, Arch Enemy and Destruction. In August 2009, the band received the award for ''Metal album of the Year'' from "Just Plain Folks Music Organization", the world's largest independent music organization, in competition with more than 40.000 artists in all genres around the world.〔
Their second album, ''The Road Less Travelled'' was picked up by AFM Records and released on May 28, 2010. The album is for the first time produced by Bergensen (also co-productor of the previous album) but also by Haukland.
They later go on tour with Sonata Arctica on their Days of Grays tour. During the tour Bygerg must stop concerts because of a "small back prolapse". Triosphere was joigned by a substitute drummer, Anders Vinje from the band Divided Multitude.
On 2012 Triosphere toured again, this time supporting Kamelot. On October 12, 2012, the band announced that Jørgensen would not be able to be a part of the tour. He was temporarily replaced by Vidar Lehmann from bands Tellus Requiem and Imperial Deathcult.
On November 1, 2013, Triosphere announced that their drummer Ørjan Aare Jørgensen decided to leave the band. He continued to act as drummer until replacement was found, and departed after a last concert in March 7, 2014. He will be featured in the upcoming album, his drum parts having been recorded. Triosphere subsequently performed with various session drummers.
On September 12, 2014, after four years of work on their third album, Triosphere revealed the release date of November 7, 2014, along with its name, ''The Heart of the Matter''. A teaser sample was published on their YouTube channel on September 23.
