Trisyngyne
''Trisyngyne'' is a genus of twenty five species of evergreen trees and shrubs native to the Southern Hemisphere. They belong to the family Nothofagaceae, which are commonly known as the Southern Beeches. Species from this genus are located in Papua New Guinea, Indonesian Papua and New Caledonia. Prior to 2013, ''Trisyngyne'' was considered to be a subgenus of ''Nothofagus'' under the name ''Nothofagus'' subgenus ''Brassospora''. ''Trisyngyne'' was moved to genus level as a result of the revision of the Nothofagaceae taxonomy by Peter B. Heenan & Rob D.
