TruJet, brand name of Turbo Megha Airways, is an Indian regional airline based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The airline, a subsidiary of Turbo Aviation, an aircraft maintenance and ground-handling services company based in Hyderabad, commenced operation on 12 July 2015 with inaugural flight between Hyderabad and Tirupati. It currently operates across 6 destinations with a fleet of 2 ATR 72-500 aircraft. ==History== Air Deccan and Turbo started their business with the manufacture of ground support equipment in 2003. Turbo Aviation provides ground handling services to SpiceJet, at nine airports in southern part of India. The airline received approval from the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) to start scheduled air services in July 2014 and is being promoted by Vankayalapati Umesh and Ram Charan. Turbo Megha has identified 18 tier-II city airports in South India to expand the operations. The company has sought permission from the Indian Government to import two ATR aircraft in order to qualify for an air operator’s permit. The DGCA issued a Regional Airline Permit to the company in 7 July 2015.
